Military in Tame

Untamed despite a heavy Military presence.

The municipality of Tame in the department of Arauca has been the scene of intense combat.

FUDRA the Colombian armies Elite Rapid Reaction Force equipped with state of the art Blackhawk helicopter gun-ships is taking the fight to the insurgent groups operating in the surrounding countryside.

The base is a constant hive of activity with helicopters arriving and departing at all hours of the day and night.

They bring home exhausted troops fresh from combat, the bodies of dead soldiers and rebels. They take out food, ammunition and more soldiers to the combat zones.
